A Minister from the Home Office (Tackling Crime Unit) launched the Criminal Exploitation of children and vulnerable adults:County Lines guidance in July 2017.

The guidance is primarily aimed at frontline staff who work with children, young people and potentially vulnerable adults although it is also useful for carers and parents although they are not the primary audience.

County lines is the police term for urban gangs supplying drugs to suburban areas and market and coastal towns using dedicated mobile phone lines or "deal lines". It involves child criminal exploitation as gangs use children and vulnerable people to move drugs and money.

The guidance is now available on the gov.uk website and link is attached below.
