Since 2007 the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has published a Learning the Lessons magazine to help share learning from their investigations and those undertaken locally by the police service.

Issue 36 has been launched, the first focusing on missing people.

The issue includes seven new cases plus:

Becky, Phil and Val who share their lived experience of missing persons investigations (page 22).

Chris Minnighan talks about changes in the Metropolitan Police Service’s approach to missing persons investigations (page 26).

Eight new initiatives that are helping to improve the way forces respond to missing people (page 37).
